Fishing and Smores and Cows Oh my

It finally stopped raining since we moved here and the warm weather peeked out so we decided to try some fishing. Thanks to my dad and his knowledge of everyone in this town we headed over to the stocked lake across from his house and hoped for a few bites!

Charlotte loved the worms...Clayton hated them and preferred the method of fishing with hot dogs...which Charlotte preferred to eat...sheesh

After fishing we headed over to Chick Fil A for kids night. January's special theme was s'mores! How cute! They got to roast marshmallows over Sterno cans, hehe. The kids loved it, after s'mores there was a tour which Jason took Clayton on. Apparently Clayton told them how frying food is unhealthy and that his mom has a mixer but not as big as theirs!

The 1st water play of the year

While Jason was gone to Torrance the weather finally hit warm enough to enjoy the desert sun. Clayton's Grandma and Papa brought him a slip n slide from GA and it was the perfect weekend to set it up! Clayton had a blast!  

As you can see it was a little chilly :)

And it turns out the desert sand does not soak up the water! Sorry Jolene and Micah!

Once Jason got home we pulled out the little pool. Seeing as how it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to take them both to the pool alone this little pool does the trick until daddy gets home from work!

She is not super sure about this swimming thing but we are hoping it was just a mood.

Clayton got this T-ball set for Christmas and has really enjoyed playing with it lately. It is so funny to me to watch him hit because he is left handed and I'm am SO right handed!! I can't correct his form at all (not that I would know what I am correcting) but he is having fun so I guess we can just let his coach next year fix that for us :)

 I love the concentration and the tongue out in this next one!
