Spiritual goals of 2015

Spiritual growth is so important to me and my family. It is a calling I feel the Lord has placed on me to raise our children in a place where they see me taking time with Him, placing Him first...hopefully leading by example. I have never read the Bible in its entirety. I have read a chunk of it through Bible studies and sermons but not on my own.

I am a "follow a plan" kinda girl and I knew I would need a "checklist" to help keep me on track and motivate me to stick with this year long goal. I found this one on pinterest and I have it printed out and in the New Testament ready to go!

I posted earlier that I wanted to read more in 2015 and part of that is to COMPLETE 3 Bible studies this year. I say COMPLETE because I have a horrible habit of starting them and not finishing. Joining a small group will help me reach that goal. My small group for the winter/spring is doing The Blessing by Dr John Trent and Dr Gary Smiley. I have heard some amazing things about this study so I'm super excited to get going on this!

My marriage is another place I want spritual growth and a place I want to provide a positive example. We already know that there are several weeks J will be away from home so I wanted a study or devotional we could do on our own but also together...make sense? I decided on The One Year Love Language Minute Devotional by Gary Chapman.

And seeing as how J is spending the first couple weeks of the year away from home, I bought 2 so that we each have one...no excuses!

The kids are not left out! C will be working on completing Day by Day Begin-to-Read Bible, this will be apart of our night time routine.

And we will read The One Year Devotional for Preschoolers II to sister girl.

I can't wait to see what we learn this year and what God says to us through these readings...2015 is gonna rock!
