My little commentator (sp)

Clayton is 28 months old
Weighs 28.5 lbs
First day of School- August 5th 2010

What Clayton is doing this week:
-loves dancing
-loves playing hide and seek
-his "babies" are back to being his everything but now he uses them to mimic his actions instead of just as security items
-he carries a plastic golf bag that he calls "golf bop" EVERYWHERE

-he is for sure testing his boundaries again
-he really talks now in full sentences and will carry on a conversation, recap an event or tell a story
-he still screams all the time and runs around being silly but will calm down when the time is needed

His Favorite foods right now:
-yogurt
-chocolate milk
-gummy snacks (no worries, I buy the more natural/ less sugar kind and limit!)
-juice
-hot dogs

Issues we are having with him:
-going to sleep with out a MAJOR issue...must get this worked out soon!!! Hence the new schedule :)
-he is in the EARLY stages of potty training. He will tell us that he went but not until right after instead of before
-he doesn't like to stay in his room at night. We have put up a baby gate but I am at the point of reverting back to crying it out! Is crying it out to traumatizing for a 2 year old?
-temper tantrums have made a come

Health:
-allergies are back but under control

Learning:
-working on recognizing letters and his self portrait

-loves his Tag Reader, cars, trains, and throwing/kicking balls

-he is in school 2x a week for 3 hours each day and spending lots of time with friends that he really seems to interact with now instead of play beside

-cares about people and their feelings , even characters on TV

New Schedule...for everyone!

Things have been crazy busy around here and I have a feeling it is only going to get worse. So I decided to do a complete revamp of all schedules in our house. Cleaning, Clayton's daily, my blogging...all scheduled!!

I love blogging and crafting but I feel so overwhelmed without some sort of schedule that goes with it.

And we won't even talk about Clayton and the craziness of a toddler and all of his social events!

I hope the new shedule will work out better for everyone. I plan to post it if nothing more than my own accountability :)

So here goes...a new and improved organized us!!! Wish us luck

Sneeze fest...gross

It is a complete sneeze fest around here! Clayton and I are sneezing coughing and eye rubbing constantly...

I am so over it!

Once I feel better and can get the motivation to upload the pictures for the no lie 10 posts in my draft file then something more interesting than my sneeze schedule will be posted!!

Long day yesterday

Normally I don't write about random things but yesterday was just one of those days...and maybe this is my testament to myself that those days can come and go and I will make it through!

Clayton is back in pre toddler/toddler preschool and yesterday was his 2nd day (I think I have a blog about the first day coming sometime). Bless his heart he didn't want to go AT ALL!

Sometime in the middle of the night he work up crying asking for water and to be rocked. And so the night continued this way. At some point we realized that he felt hot...it turned out to be a 101-102 fever.

He woke up at 4 and stayed awake talking/crying/trying to get me to play until 7. he has to get up at 7:20 for school so when I woke him up 20 minutes after he fell asleep HE WAS A BEAR!!

We had a quick breakfast and headed to school. He cried the whole way there begging for anyone to come get him :( Once we got to school he seemed fine until I put his back in his cubby at which point he freaked out!

They had to pry him off of my leg while he screamed "Please come back mommy...don't go bye bye"

I usually am pretty good with his separation crying because I know he will be fine but yesterday was really hard. I cried the whole way home and prayed that he was dong better than me and that he would have a good day. Turns out he was fine before I even got to my car.

So the day went on like normal until he woke up from his nap at3 with another fever (102ish). I gave him Tylenol and he went back to sleep...not like him AT ALL! When he woke up later the fever had gone up to 104 so we decided to give Motrin and watch him.

He layed down in my lap and was so hot I knew he was not cooling down...temp them was 105...ER here we come!

Of course when we got there is was 100 but they treated him like he was sick instead of like we were lying (always my fear when that happens). He was diagnosed with Pharyngitis and sent home with a crazy dosage of meds and instructions to sleep and drink as much as he wanted.

By the time I finally went to sleep I was emotionally and physically exhausted but today he has been fine and we are back on schedule....but geez what a crazy day

Pizzalley's

While we were in St Augustine we ate out quite a bit, but who doesn't on vacation? One of my new favorite places there is a little pizza place, Pizzalley's, in the old town portion. It was recommended to us by some friends who had just been down there...they loved so we tried and we loved it too.

Clayton making his revised version of the surprised face he used to be famous for making

Baby Blair totally into my camera

Clayton's "cheese" face

Keeping kiddos entertained while waiting on food is always a tricky task...Clayton "popped" all the "bubbles" on the cups and Blair back there chewed on everything insight!

Over all it was a great first night with family and good pizza!
