Having a snack and sitting on one...

I will start by saying that Clayton is not really fond of smaller animals. Like little dogs or cats or birds but he LOVES cows and horses..weird right?

Well for whatever reason he adores my cat (she lives at home with my mom...she isn't set out to be an Army cat) Pickles!

Maybe it is because she is old and won't really fight him and she just does her own thing unless he messes with her.

While we were in GA this last time he really enjoyed snack time with her. When she would go over to have a snack in her food area he would ask for a snack and join her...at least this trip they were not sharing cat snacks!!

I looked over at "snack" time and saw this:

How cute that he found a chair that can count as both a snack and a chair...resourceful I might say!

t-t-t

The other day Jason pointed out that Clayton was doing this weird thing after his words.

back story: Clayton ends a majority of his words with the "t" sound
Example: off becomes offt ...stop=stoppt so on so on

Now...he adds an extra few t..t..t sounds to the end
offt became offt..t..t

It's one of those things that is weird and cute and a Clayton thing that I know will go away soon and I will forget all about when he is 12 but I love it now...

Ps...while currently begging for a snack before dinner (big no no) he just "snack..k..k please s..s..s"

Clayton honey, it's called rain!

Here in the Mojave Desert rain drops are few and far between so we soaked it all in while in GA. The first big thunder storm we had happened while we were at my grandmothers. The thunder started and Clayton was SO confused!!

"what's that mommy...what's that"

"Honey that's called rain"

"I want to hold rain"

So out the door we all went to watch Clayton have a blast in the sprinkler provided by God, so thank you Lord for giving Clayton this really fun experience :)

"if all of the rain drops were lemon drops and gum drops oh what a rain it would be"

Look close and you can see all rain flowing off his face

I love this one above...is he thanking the Lord...is he just touching the rain

Then the shirt came off and the rain came down!

What a fun time we had that day!

I'm back and ready for blogging!

As I posted before I left to go on a LONG trip to GA for the summer to beat this desert heat and visit family. now that we are so far from home it is hard for us to get back as often and if our family expands it will be even harder so I took this summer while I had a month block of nothing to go home. I didn't blog while I was there (I think I did once?) because I wanted to spend as much time as possible visiting and spending quality time with everyone.

I have been home for a week now and have still not unpacked everything entirely and decided to hold off blogging to spend that time with Jason and as our little family together with the computer! But that week is over and I have a ton to say and catch up on so get ready!

I hope everyone is having a great summer! Clayton starts school in 2 weeks and I start back to all of the organizations I am taking part in the season...we will be super busy but it will be super fun!

GA/FL and the crappy internet

I would love to update you loyal readers out there who are just dying to know what I have been up to the past few weeks (hahaha..) but I have had the worst connection with internet leaving me with word only post which are boring so I haven't posted....So I will flood you with a whole bunch of blogs once I find some internet that doesn't take a million hours to load pictures! But a qucick little recap on out time so far....

We left Jason at the Vegas airport and I was honestly crying harder than when I dropped him off for deployment or R&R...maybe because I knew I was vacationing without him not just doing life?

We spent the first week with my dad hanging out in the pool, shopping with Aunt Karen and celebrating my moms 50th birthday! We also stopped off to see my grandmother where we encountered a thunder storm )love those!) and Clayton was so EXCITED (post to come)!

Week 2 we are spending in St Augustin with a little portion of my family including my seriously super cute baby cousin!! Baby fever...yes yes yes!!

So there you go! Hope you are all enjoying the first day of July...wait it's July?!?
